Akoya Pearls
Akoya saltwater pearls are the diamonds of the sea. Akoya pearl body colos include white and ivory while Akoya pearl overtone colors include rose, silver, and green. Vietnamese Akoya pearls are the one exception with unique colors including pink, gold, lavender, cream, blue, silver and purple. Saltwater pearl sizes
range from less than 5mm to 9mm. Larger saltwater pearl sizes are possible, but
less frequent. Akoya pearls are more valuable than their freshwater cousins
because of their beauty and supply.
