The value of this report is that it is done by a highly qualified and highly respected independent lab.  The results of this report are therefore non-biased and are never over-inflated.

These reports are not insurance appraisals and may not be used as such.  They are provided solely as an independent opinion of quality, physical characteristics and approximate retail value of your item.

A separate report must be purchased for each item you want a report for.  If you order several items and only one report, only the most valuable item will sent to the independent lab to be examined.  Each report is $58.

INSURANCE APPRAISAL This is a service offered only by The Pearl Outlet.  If you purchase one of these appraisals, your item will be sent to an independent GIA certified lab.  The lab will carefully exam your item and then the lab will send your item directly to you and will mail the appraisal separately.  This service is non-refundable, since the appraisal is done for you, the customer, and it cannot be transferred to another customer.  It will take 1 to 2 weeks for the lab to finish the appraisal.

These appraisals are insurance appraisals and may be used for insurance purposes.

NORTHWEST GEMOLOGICAL LABORATORY This independent laboratory is where your item will be sent if you purchase a Preliminary Report or an Insurance Appraisal.  It is not affiliated with The Pearl Outlet in any way.  All reports and appraisals will be done by Sharon Wakefield, BSChe, GG, ISA-CAPP. Wakefield, a widely respected gemologist and appraiser, holds a Graduate Gemologist (GG) diploma from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and is a Certified Appraiser of Personal Property through the International Society of Appraisers. Note that, while our retail prices are based on these independent appraisals, not every piece has been appraised and the appraised value of each item will vary slightly from our retail prices.
