Can one person in six billion really make a difference in the life of an orphan or needy child?

Yes, in fact, this is exactly how I AM Children’s Family was started. A nine year old girl, Omega, began giving her own food away to the orphans in her neighborhood. Much to her father’s dismay, Omega would often go without any food at all so she could feed other children. Her father, who at times could not even feed his own children –including Omega, was moved by his daughter’s compassion for others. It was her actions that led to her father’s conviction that he should be doing the same.

From this conviction, I AM Children’s Family was born. Today the organization helps feed and school hundreds of children in Uganda. It also offers housing for dozens of orphans whose parents have perished because of the AIDS epidemic.
