2.) Samples

Send a sample of each design to be considered. Designs must be original and must incorporate real pearls. Things we will consider when choosing designers include, but are not limited to the following:

- Quality of Pearls

- Quality of Workmanship

- Originality of Designs

- Price/Cost of Items

- Details and Exactness of Descriptions

o Don't Exaggerate

o Be Honest

o Be Detailed

- Number of Products Sent for Consideration

o Minimum of 3

o Maximum of 12

You are responsible for the cost of shipping your items to us and for return shipping. You may want to insure your shipment; we cannot be responsible for lost or misdirected mail.

If your designs are selected to be featured in our Designers' Market, you must also provide us with the following:

- A detailed Bio and Photo of the designer. (Professional Head Shot)

- A high-resolution photo of each design (Minimum of 1200x1200 pixel photo with minimal compression). All photos MUST be professional quality and approved by us. We recommend using David Katz at www.arnoldkatz.com

- If you have a website, place a link from your website to our home page (www.thepearloutlet.com), as well as a link from your website to the Designers' Market (http://www.thepearloutlet.com/designers_market.htm). The more traffic generated by our designers, the more attention your designs will get.

- You must provide us one of each design to be included in the Market for our inventory and have one of each item on hand to send us. Once an item sells, you must be able to provide us with a replacement (duplicate) item with two business days. (We ship items directly from us, to customers)

- Items you provide are to be on memo. Payment will be made to you once an item is sold.

- You must agree to and adhere to our return policies. Customers do return products on occasion. Our return policy is located here: http://www.thepearloutlet.com/guarantee.htm

- You can provide us with creative (on approval) to include with your designs.

We reserve the right to remove your items from our site at any time for any reason. Some of the reasons your designs might be removed are:

- Too Expensive

- Poor Quality

- Customer Complaints

- Item Does Not Sell

- Turn Around Time Too Long

For item descriptions, include all pertinent details including type(s) of pearls, type(s) of metals, sizes, lengths, etc... The more detailed the information, the more likely we will invite you to join our Designers' Market. Also include the wholesale price, which is the amount that you will be paid when an item sells, not the price at which it will be sold at. Wholesale pricing is generally 10% to 30% above your cost to make the piece. The lower the price, the more likely it will sell.
