Chi Huynh of Galatea has been producing award-winning designs for more than a decade, taking his inspiration from nature. His most famous designs include his diamond-in-a-pearl collection and his carved Akoya and Tahitian pearls.

This year, Galatea shook up the pearl industry with the first significant advance in pearl culturing since Mikimoto perfected his techniques a century ago; Galatea cultured the world's first pearls using gemstones instead of mother-of-pearl nucleuses. They named this collection their Mercy Pearl collection.
